Ronnie Watts

Rising from the suburbs of Rochester, New York is an artist on her way to stealing the top spot on everyone’s playlist.

Ronnie Watts discovered her ability to sing like many others before her – at a young age she was sat in her parent’s bedroom when her mother caught her singing along to a pop song before screaming in excitement – however, everything since then has been wholly unique. In her nostalgic, classic style, Ronnie Watts has spent most of her youth honing her song-writing ability, building a recording studio in her basement, and journaling her heartbreak through the lens of pop music. 

Kin Event Space

(owned by Kristin Klock of Root Catering) is located off University Ave, near Neighborhood of the Arts. Its modern industrial setting matches any occasion and gathering size, from 25 to 200 people. What sets Kin apart from others is their world class bar program led by Ryan Lewis. They offer unique cocktails and wines that are, like Kin itself, a little off the beaten path. Current offerings include Chardonnay from Lodi, Cabernet Franc from the Finger Lakes, and the Gin Bloom cocktail, consisting of gin, bergamot liqueur, aquafaba, and lime juice.

SUNY Brockport's Sankofa African Dance and Drum Ensemble 

Housed in the Department of Dance at SUNY Brockport,  The Sankofa African Dance and Drum Ensemble is a vibrant touring group that enthusiastically shares traditional and contemporary African dance and music with audiences worldwide. Led by Trinidadian Artistic Director, Jenise Akilah Anthony and Guinean Musical Director, Mohamed Diaby, Sankofa presents dance and theater works expressing rich African cultural heritage. Touring regionally, nationally and internationally, the ensemble is renowned for its cultural presentations rooted deep within the African Diaspora with an international community of members from Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, the Americas, and Africa.
